The yellow-striped tree skink (Lipinia vittigera) is a tiny, fast, arboreal lizard featuring a bright yellow back stripe bounded by black and an orange tail. It is native to Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.

Size: Small and slender, growing only about 1 to 3 inches long from head to tail.

Appearance: Shiny smooth scales with a prominent yellow vertebral stripe, black side borders, and a yellowish-orange tail that is brighter in juveniles.

Habits: Strictly daytime (diurnal) animals that spend their time on tree trunks and branches in lowland forests, quickly hiding in bark crevices when scared.

Diet: Consists of small insects and tiny arthropods.

Environment: Require a warm, humid terrarium setup with plenty of vertical climbing branches, live or artificial foliage, and secure tight mesh lids because of their small size and speed.

Temperament: Extremely shy and fast-moving, making them better suited as display animals rather than handling pets.
