Colorful, Active, and Full of Personality

The Fire Skink is a stunning, medium-sized lizard known for its brilliant red, orange, and gold coloration that shines like living flames. Native to the forests and grasslands of West Africa, these secretive yet curious reptiles spend much of their time exploring and burrowing but will readily emerge to bask or hunt.

With proper care, Fire Skinks are hardy and thrive in warm, humid enclosures that provide plenty of hiding spots and substrate for digging. While they are not typically a “handle-every-day” pet, their bold colors, inquisitive behavior, and manageable size make them a captivating addition to any reptile enthusiast’s collection.
