Red Eye Crocodile Skink - #33274

Add a striking and unique display reptile to your terrarium with the Red-Eyed Armored Skink, also known as the Red-Eyed Crocodile Skink. This small, dragon-like lizard is known for its dark armored body, crocodile-like back scales, and bright red-orange rings around each eye.

Native to New Guinea, Red-Eyed Armored Skinks are shy, secretive reptiles that are most active around dawn and dusk. They do best in a secure, humid enclosure with plenty of hiding spots, damp leaf litter, climbing cover, and a shallow water area.

Because of their shy temperament, these skinks are best suited as display animals rather than frequent handling pets. They require high humidity, cooler temperatures, and a diet of small live insects such as crickets, roaches, and worms.
