• Size: Can grow up to 100 ft tall, but is usually less than 20 ft tall in beach plantings 
• Needles: Bright green, stiff, sharp-pointed needles that grow in bundles of two
• Cones: Nut-brown colored, short-stalked cones that are 2-3 inches long 
• Bark: Dark gray and broken into rough plates 
• Prefers well-drained soil and at least six hours of direct sunlight a day
• Tolerates drought and moderately well-drained soils
• Prefers cold temperatures and needs to feel the harshness of winter
• Dislikes soggy soil
• Hardiness: Zones 5-8b
• Watering: Consistent moisture is vital, especially during the growing season. Deep watering at the root zone encourages vigorous growth and a bountiful harvest. We recommend a minimum 2 gallons of water every single day for the first 3-4 months. During the Summer trees need to be water early in the morning and in the afternoon, twice a day!
