Add a unique and fascinating invertebrate to your pet collection with our Caribbean Hermit Crabs, also known as Purple Pincher Hermit Crabs. These interesting land-dwelling crustaceans are known for their colorful bodies, distinctive purple claws, and unique habit of carrying shells for protection.

Caribbean Hermit Crabs are curious, active creatures that enjoy climbing, digging, and exploring their surroundings. They are naturally social animals and do best when kept with other compatible hermit crabs in a properly sized enclosure.

These tropical hermit crabs require a warm, humid habitat with deep, moist substrate for burrowing and molting, plenty of hiding places, climbing decorations, and extra natural shells to move into as they grow. They also need access to both dechlorinated freshwater and properly prepared marine saltwater.

Caribbean Hermit Crabs are omnivores and enjoy a varied diet of vegetables, fruits, animal proteins, and calcium-rich foods. With proper care, they can live for many years, making them a long-term commitment for dedicated pet owners.
