Appearance: Extremely slender, bright leaf-green with a pale yellow or cream-colored belly. Their scales are "keeled" (have a raised ridge down the middle), making them feel slightly rough to the touch.

Size: Small and lightweight, averaging 1.5 to 3 feet in length.

Habitat: Highly arboreal (tree-dwelling). They are found in hardwood hammocks, woodlands, and near the edges of wetlands, blending perfectly into the foliage.

Diet: Strictly insectivores that eat spiders, caterpillars, and insects.

Temperament: Completely non-venomous and incredibly docile. They almost never bite and will typically freeze when threatened, relying on their camouflage.
