Add a specialty fruit tree to your landscape with the Emerald Beaut Plum. This plum variety is known for its light green skin, which can develop a yellowish hue or faint blush as it fully ripens. Inside, the fruit has greenish-yellow to orange freestone flesh with exceptionally high sugar content balanced by mild acidity.
Emerald Beaut Plums are prized for their crisp, crunchy texture, even when fully ripe and sweet. Fruit typically ripens from mid-to-late August and can remain on the tree for 2 months or more while continuing to sweeten.
This variety requires approximately 600 to 700 chill hours and grows well in USDA Zones 5 to 10. Emerald Beaut Plum requires a cross-pollinator, such as Burgundy, Beauty, Late Santa Rosa, Nubiana, or Flavor King Pluot.
Tree size is approximately 12 to 15 feet tall, depending on growing conditions and pruning.
