Pests & Diseases: Our plums are not bothered by pests. Bacterial Canker can occasionally damage trunks or branches. Symptoms of this disease are exudations of amber-colored sap. Spraying lime-sulfur or copper in the fall and early spring can help control Bacterial Canker.
Watering: We recommend a minimum 2 gallons of water every single day for the first 3-4 months. During the Summer trees need to be water early in the morning and in the afternoon, twice a day!
Pruning: Regular pruning during the dormant season helps shape the tree, improve airflow, and promote fruit development. Pruning also assists in maintaining the tree's structure.
